Usage Note

Hyper is a very common informal intensifier in spoken French, equivalent to 'super' or 'really': c'est hyper bien (it's really good). It is mostly used by younger speakers and is informal. It can also appear as a prefix in compound words such as hypermarché (hypermarket).
