Usage Note
frimeur comes from the verb frimer (to show off, to pretend). The feminine form is frimeuse. It is informal/colloquial and carries a slightly contemptuous tone — someone more interested in appearances than substance. Faire le frimeur means 'to act like a poser'.
Examples
"Ce frimeur conduit toujours une voiture de sport."
Natural Translation
That show-off always drives a sports car.
