Usage Note
Fion in its standard sense means the final touch or polishing detail that completes a piece of work, as in donner le fion (to put the finishing touch). This usage is now somewhat dated and literary. The word also has a vulgar anatomical slang meaning (backside), so context and register matter greatly when using it.
Examples
"Il donne le fion à son discours."
Natural Translation
He puts the finishing touch on his speech.
