Exceptionnel has a double 'l' and its feminine form is exceptionnelle. Beyond high praise (un talent exceptionnel), it also means 'one-off' or 'special' in administrative French — une mesure exceptionnelle is an exceptional measure. Exceptionnellement can mean 'exceptionally' or 'on this one occasion (only).'
