Drugstore in French does not mean a pharmacy (une pharmacie); it refers to a type of upmarket convenience store or café-boutique selling food, magazines, cosmetics, and gifts, popularised in Paris in the 1960s. The famous Publicis Drugstore on the Champs-Élysées is a well-known example. The word is a direct English loanword.
