doué is the past participle of douer used as an adjective, meaning naturally gifted. Être doué pour ('to have a gift for') is the standard construction — il est doué pour les langues ('he has a gift for languages'). The feminine is douée. Un enfant surdoué refers to a highly gifted or intellectually advanced child.
