Usage Note
Déplaire is the antonym of plaire and follows the same conjugation (il déplaît, cela m'a déplu). It is most often used impersonally or reflexively: cela me déplaît ('I don't like that'). The politeness formula n'en déplaise à means 'with all due respect to' and is used to politely disagree.
Examples
"Ce bruit me déplaît vraiment."
Natural Translation
That noise really displeases me.
