Also means
let down
Usage Note
Décevoir is an irregular verb (conjugated like recevoir): je déçois, il déçoit, nous décevons. The past participle is déçu. Note that décevoir means 'to disappoint', not 'to deceive' — a classic false friend with English 'deceive', which is tromper.
Examples
"Il ne voulait pas décevoir ses parents."
Natural Translation
He did not want to disappoint his parents.

He not wanted not disappoint his parents
