Usage Note
curer means to clean out a cavity or channel — most concretely se curer les dents (to pick one's teeth) or curer un fossé (to clean out a ditch). The related noun un cure-dent is a toothpick. Do not confuse with guérir (to cure an illness), which is a false cognate for English speakers.
Examples
"Il se cure les dents après le repas."
Natural Translation
He picks his teeth after the meal.
