Cuillère (also spelled cuiller) has three common sizes in French kitchens: une cuillère à café (teaspoon), une cuillère à soupe (tablespoon), and une cuillère à dessert (dessert spoon). These measurements appear constantly in French recipes. The diminutive cuillerée means a spoonful.
