Usage Note

Courrier refers to postal mail (le courrier du matin = the morning post) and, in modern usage, to email in the compound courrier électronique, commonly shortened to courriel in Quebec. Courrier des lecteurs is the letters-to-the-editor section of a newspaper. The word is always masculine.
