Usage Note
Continuer can be followed by à or de before an infinitive (continuer à parler / continuer de parler) — both are accepted, though continuer à is more common in speech. It should not be confused with the English 'continue on,' which is redundant — in French, continuer alone is sufficient.
Examples
"Continuez tout droit jusqu'au feu."
Natural Translation
Continue straight ahead to the traffic light.
