Also means
lucidity
Usage Note
Clarté covers both physical light (la clarté du soleil = the brightness of the sun) and intellectual clarity (la clarté de son raisonnement = the clarity of his reasoning). The adjective clair is its root, and avec clarté is a common adverbial phrase meaning 'clearly.' Unlike lumière, clarté stresses quality of light rather than its source.
Examples
"La clarté de son explication m'a aidé."
