Usage Note
Buveur means a person who drinks, most often implying a heavy or habitual drinker: un grand buveur is 'a heavy drinker'. It can also simply mean a consumer of a beverage (un buveur de café — a coffee drinker). Feminine: buveuse. The verb is boire (to drink).
