Usage Note
Bienvenu is the adjective agreeing with a person — vous êtes les bienvenus ('you are welcome'). The fixed noun phrase la bienvenue is used in souhaiter la bienvenue à quelqu'un ('to welcome someone'). Note that bienvenue (feminine form) is also used as a standalone interjection meaning 'welcome'.
