Usage Note

Aveuglant describes light so intense it blinds (une lumière aveuglante) and also used figuratively for something overwhelmingly obvious: une vérité aveuglante — a blinding truth. The feminine is aveuglante; the base verb aveugler means to blind or to dazzle.
