Usage Note
Water (often plural waters) is a dated but still-heard informal shortening of water-closet (WC). It is gradually being replaced by toilettes or WC in everyday speech. As with wagon, the initial 'w' is pronounced like a French 'v'.
Examples
"Elle cherche les waters au fond du couloir."
Natural Translation
She is looking for the toilet at the end of the corridor.
