Usage Note
Poésie refers to the art form itself, not a single poem (which is un poème). La poésie en prose ('prose poetry') blurs the boundary between the two. A poet is un poète (m) or une poétesse (f), though poète is used for both genders in modern usage. Avoir de la poésie means to have a lyrical, expressive quality.
Examples
"Elle récite de la poésie chaque soir."
Natural Translation
She recites poetry every evening.
