Usage Note
Part appears in dozens of fixed expressions: à part (apart, except), de ma part (on my behalf), nulle part (nowhere), quelque part (somewhere), and d'une part… d'autre part (on one hand… on the other hand). The final t is always silent. It is feminine (une part de gâteau = a slice of cake).
