Usage Note
Nylon entered French as a trade name and is now the generic term for the synthetic polymer fabric. It is used both as a noun (du nylon) and as an adjective (des bas en nylon — nylon stockings); it is invariable as an adjective and does not change for gender or number.

Natural Translation
These tights are made of nylon.
