Nourrissant describes food that is filling and nutritionally rich: un repas nourrissant ('a nourishing meal'). The feminine form is nourrissante. It derives from the verb nourrir ('to nourish, to feed'); the related adjective nutritif is more technical and label-oriented, while nourrissant is the everyday culinary term.
