Usage Note
Méchamment is the adverb of méchant (mean, wicked, naughty), following the regular rule by which adjectives ending in -ant form adverbs in -amment. In informal spoken French it can be used as an intensifier meaning 'seriously' or 'massively' (c'est méchamment bien — it's seriously good), a colloquial shift learners should recognise.
Examples
"Il lui a repondu mechamment."
Natural Translation
