Usage Note
Mouillé is the past participle of mouiller used as an adjective meaning wet. Trempé is more emphatic ('soaking wet'), while mouillé suggests simply damp or wet. Mouillé jusqu'aux os means 'soaked to the bone.' The feminine form is mouillée.
