Usage Note
Mol is the pre-vocalic masculine form of mou ('soft, weak'), used before a word beginning with a vowel or silent h: un mol oreiller ('a soft pillow'). Outside poetry and set phrases it is rare; everyday French uses mou instead. The feminine form is molle.
