Also means
to clash (colours)
Usage Note
Jurer has two quite different uses: to swear an oath or promise (je te jure que c'est vrai = 'I swear it's true') and, in a more visual/aesthetic sense, to clash or not go together (ces couleurs jurent entre elles = 'these colours clash'). The phrase jurer ses grands dieux means 'to swear up and down', with emphatic insistence.
Examples
"Je te jure que je n'ai rien dit."
