Usage Note
Jazz is used in French with the same meaning as in English and is always masculine. France has a deep jazz tradition, and le jazz manouche (gypsy jazz), pioneered by Django Reinhardt, is considered a distinctly French contribution to the genre. The adjective form is jazzy (informal) or de jazz as in un concert de jazz.
Examples
"Il écoute du jazz tous les soirs."
Natural Translation
