Usage Note
Ironiquement is a formal adverb used to indicate that something is said or done with irony, or that a situation is ironic in a broader sense. In everyday speech, par ironie or avec ironie is more common. The root adjective is ironique and the noun l'ironie, as in l'ironie du sort (the irony of fate).
