Usage Note
Harper is a rare, specialized verb meaning to play the harp. It is far less common than the noun harpe ('harp') or the agent noun harpiste ('harpist'). In most contexts, French speakers would say jouer de la harpe rather than harper. The verb appears mainly in older literary texts.
Examples
"Elle apprend à harper depuis un an."
