Usage Note
Gogo is a familiar, slightly dismissive term for someone who is gullible or easily deceived. The phrase à gogo (meaning 'in abundance, galore') is a completely separate, very common expression and is not related in meaning. The word is invariable in form.

Natural Translation
He got taken in like a sucker.
Literal Translation
He got himself had like a sucker.
