Usage Note

Farcir literally means to stuff food (poultry, vegetables) with a filling (farce). Reflexively, se farcir quelque chose is a very colloquial expression meaning to be stuck doing something unpleasant ('to have to deal with'). The related noun farce means stuffing (culinary) as well as a prank or farce (theatrical).
