to be crazy about (informal)

Usage Note

Délirer can describe medical delirium (fever-induced) or, very commonly in colloquial French, being utterly obsessed with something (je délire sur ce film = 'I'm totally into this film'). Tu délires! is a casual way of saying 'You're crazy!' or 'No way!' The noun le délire means both delirium and frenzied excitement.
