Also means
wild, frenzied
Usage Note
Déchaîné literally means 'unchained' but is almost always used figuratively to describe unleashed energy — une foule déchaînée (a frenzied crowd), une tempête déchaînée (a raging storm), or une joie déchaînée (unbridled joy). The feminine form is déchaînée, and the reflexive verb se déchaîner means to let loose or rage.
Examples
"La tempête déchaînée a ravagé la côte toute la nuit."
Natural Translation
The raging storm ravaged the coast all night.
