Usage Note

Curieux has two quite distinct senses depending on position: placed after the noun it often means 'curious, nosy' (un enfant curieux), while before the noun it can mean 'strange' (un curieux personnage). The feminine form is curieuse. The noun curiosité means 'curiosity' or a tourist attraction.
