Usage Note
Cil (eyelash) should not be confused with sourcil (eyebrow). The plural des cils is more commonly encountered than the singular. The verb ciller means to blink or bat one's eyelashes, and sans ciller (without blinking) is an idiom meaning 'without flinching'.
Examples
"Elle a des cils très longs et recourbés."
Natural Translation
She has very long and curled eyelashes.
