Boomer is a direct English loanword used in French to refer to the baby-boom generation (born approximately 1946–1964), often in generational discourse or mild social criticism (OK boomer is understood in France as in English). It is informal; the formal equivalent would be enfant du baby-boom. The plural is boomers.
