Usage Note
Biblique is invariable for gender. Beyond its literal religious sense, it is used hyperbolically in French to describe something of an epic or monumental scale — une pluie biblique (a biblical downpour) or un chaos biblique (utter chaos). The noun la Bible and the adjective biblique share this dual literal-and-hyperbolic range.
